hi atul
to be eligible for JEE MAINS 2018 , candidates wll have to qualify 10+2 or any equivalent exam, conducted by any recognised central/ state board like CBSE, ICSE, counsil for the indian scholl certificate examinations, new delhi etc.
passing percentage:
the eligibility criteria of JEE MAIN 2018 does not specify any pass percentage for appearing in the exam. This is because the exam is also an eligiblity test for admission to B.Tec / B.E programmes in states like Madhya Pradesh , Odisha, Nagaland ,Haryana etc and the percentage required by students in class 12 varies from state to state.
number of attempts
candidates can appear in JEE MAIN exams only up to 3 times . beyond these attempts , the registration of the candidate will not be accepted

Hi friend,
yes surely, you can give JEE-MAINS 3rd time but you will be debarred from giving JEE ADVANCED.Also, this is your last attempt to give JEE-MAINS exam.I would suggest you try applying to other colleges too rather than just focussing on IITs.
Hope this helps.Best of luck.
