Caste plays the major role  in admission process.
So if you belong to  any minority quota then you can easily get admission in many private  colleges in mumbai. Although it's the college who decides the cut'off for the particular minority.
But if you are from general category than may be you have to wait for 3 or 4 rounds. In mumbai their are many colleges having linguistic quota so you can also try for that.
