Economically Weaker Section in a sub category of General Category whose family annual income will be less than 8 lakhs. Absolutely the people who do not belong to any category such as SC/ST/OBE/MBC. This certificate have only one year validation.  So you need to apply for new EWS certificate this year, if you applied it in 2019.
