Role of a police officer is that of great responsibility and good morals. If you possess the quality to change the bad in society, you should definitely go for it.

Getting into police job doesn't require any particular subject specialization, i.e any stream student after 12th , undergraduate or postgraduate course can go for recruitment exam and than physical exam.

Although there are different post under the term police officer such as SP, DSP , sun inspector , constable, etc. And they all have different requirements for example :-

• For becoming SP/ASP, DSP :- you need a bachelors degree and you need to give IPS exam

• For becoming inspection and sub inspector :- you need to have a bachelors degree and you need to clear staff selection commission exam.

• Constable :- minimum requirement is 12th class pass and exam is state level recruitment exam.

It will be better to know which post you want to apply for. Because different post have different criteria to fullfill.
