If you want to learn about the General knowledge the first thing I ask you to do is to read NCERT social studies text books from class8-10 because these books will cover most of the basic things in all aspects of Geography , History, political science and Economics.

But if you want only one book I suggest you Manorama and other book is arihaAr publications..
