Hi Jagjeet,

BCA is a three year full time graduation course divided into six semesters. It's for those who want to build their career in the field of computers and information technology.

No, it is not compulsory to have a maths or computer as a subject for doing BCA. There are many private as well as non private colleges which do not require maths or computer as a subject. But there are some colleges which cant give you admisssion mostly the government once.

Here are the list of colleges which do not require maths or computers as subject:-
1. Christ University, Banglore
2. Symboisis, Pune
3. Amity, Noida
4. Manipur University
5. St. Xaviers college
And many more...

So you can go for the colleges which do not require maths or computer as a subject.

Hello Jagjeet

No  it is not compulsary. Computer  is not compulsory in 12th for BCA. Even a student with Biology can persue BCA, only they need to do is just clear maths paper only in a saparate exam(although it is not compulsary). You will learn all the things in BCA , which they usually teach in Computer Science.
