For sure you can choose examination centres according to your convenience. You can fill the application form for jee mains from any part of the country, just make sure that you have all the necessary documents with you. Students are allowed to choose examination centres to appear for the examination but make sure that there us an examination centre near your native place.

Also, you can choose any three places to write the exam as per your convinience. Mostly your first choice is given to you as a centre to write exam.
