to be an ips officer you have to qualify cse exam conducted by upsc. Also You must also crack the preliminary, mains and interview in order to get selected for the training.

To become an Ips officer you should have minimum 21 years of age and maximum for gener is 32 years and for obc, sc/st it is  35 and 37 respectively. Anf the minimum height of 165 cm for men and 150 cm for women for general, obc and sc category and 160 and 145 cm for men and women respectively in the case of candidates belonging to ST.
