Dear student,

Greetings.

VLSI is for core Communication / instrumentation / electrical candidates, limited scope for other engineering disciplines to compete, it’s evergreen & constantly expanding field, it's about creating electronic chips.

Embedded Systems is more about getting these chips to fulling their purpose through Firmware, RTOS, C, C++, middleware, kernel configuring, application tuning, Devicedrivers programming … Etc with or without OS, also evergreen & constantly expanding.

Both command considerable commitment in life & passion to technology rather than passion to money. At a certain level both exist & expand because of the other. They both are core fields. As the demands for electronics product is growing more and more embedded engineers are in demand, but due to tough syllabus people avoid getting into these fields.

I hope this helps!
