Since Ekta Kapoor belongs to a family of film personalities, her becoming a TV director/producer is far easier than it would be for an ousider. If you are really keen on making a career in television I would suggest you to do a course in Direction & Screenplay writing OR Producing for Film and Television. You may pursue these from eihter FTII Pune or SRFTI Kolkata, two of the best institutes in the country. However these courses are offered at a PG level and hence you need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.
