If you're planning to take admission in Pune for BE or B.Tech in Computer Engineering, the first thing you’ll need is a valid score in either MHT CET or JEE Main. Admissions are mainly done through the centralized CAP counselling process conducted by the Maharashtra State CET Cell. Based on your score or percentile, you’ll get a chance to select from a range of colleges during the counselling rounds.

For Computer Engineering, the top colleges in Pune like COEP, MIT-WPU, PCCOE, and VIIT usually have high cutoffs, especially for the general category. If your score is on the higher side, you could target these. But even if your percentile is around the mid-80s or slightly lower, you can still get into good private colleges in Pune like JSPM, DY Patil, Zeal College, or PES Modern College, especially in the later rounds or through institute-level quota.
