Hello,
Yes, it's possible to cancel your seat, because only the first round of the counselling is over. You must cancel the seat through the designated helpline centers, and a processing fee of INR 5,000 will be deducted from your paid fees, with the rest refunded.
I hope it will clear your query!!
In the KARNATAKA PGCET counselling process if one chooses not to report for admission in the first round of counselling after having a seat allotted to them, the seat gets automatically cancelled. But, if the candidate had not chosen the CHOICE 3 in the counselling dashboard then they are ineligible for participating in any further rounds of PGCET counselling. Since, you have not chosen any CHOICE against the allotment your seat has been cancelled and you cannot participate in further rounds.
Yes, you can cancel your PGCET seat even after the first round of counselling, but you must do it before the final round or as per the KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) schedule.
You need to submit a written request for seat cancellation through your college or KEA portal, and then depending on the timing, you may have to lose part of the fee (like the processing or tuition fee).
Hope you understand.
