CAT is an entrance examination for admission to 20 IIMs and almost more than 1000 institutions across India. Do, if you want to study MBA, you should appear for CAT. The eligibility criteria for CAT is that you should have completed your Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50%. It is 50% for General Category and 46% for Reserved Categories. Any discipline in Bachelor's degree is accepted. 18th September is the last day to fill in the CAT applucation form. So if you want to appear for CAT, you may have to hurry up. CAT is an online examination of 3 hours duration.The questions in the exam will be of MCQ and TITA type totaling 100 questions. MCQ are multiple choice questions, for which candidates get multiple answer choices. Each Question has 3 marks and a wrong answer takes away 1 mark. However Type in the Answer questions are exempted from Negative Marking.

CAT exam paper can be Categorised into 3 parts:

Quantitative Ability
Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning

The Verbal Ability section and Reading Comprehension has 34 Questions, Data interpretation-Logical Reasoning section has 32 MCQ questions and Quantitative Ability has 34 MCQ questions totalling up to 100 questions. Each Question has 3 marks and a wrong answer takes away 1 mark.

If you are sure that you want to do management then only you should write the exam. CAT is not tough but it requires practice and iq. As the exams are at hand I guess you might have completed almost the syllabus then it's time for revision and test series. Attempt a lot of test series they will let you know where you lag.
