If you are allowed to edit the application form then change that category coloumn accordingly. Some applications will be given a chance to edit the details. If not its okay . If you fail to submit the Category certificate then you will be considered as general category. No need to worry about that.

Terrible mistake!!!

CAT has already provided the correction windows open but its not possible now to make changes. As far as IIMs are considered the documents are verified on the day of the program. You will be given the merit list based on your category. So during verification you will be in the general category waiting list when you fail to submit your obc certificate.

You might or might not get the seat in the waiting list.

As far as private colleges like SIBM,VIT,IBS etc the verification is done on the day of interview where you can give the correct details and with reasonable explanation.
