The admission to 2nd year B.Tech through lateral entry is either based on merit in the qualifying examination that is Diploma or Entrance Examination. You haven't mentioned your state based on the information available on your profile we consider that you are from Telangana state. The admission to B.Tech second year is based on TS ECET score. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad is conducts TS ECET. The eligibility criteria to appear for TS ECET is that the Candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology or any other equivalent to it recognized from the State Board of Technical Education of Telangana State /Andhra Pradesh to get admission to B.Tech second year. Candidates belonging to general category must score minimum 45% marks in qualifying examination. For reserved category it is minimum are 40% marks. Candidate must be a citizen of India and must belong to the State of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh. The registration for TS ECET 2022 has not yet started, it will begin once the notification is released.
