Sorry to say but I have not seen any Nimcet aspirant who practices for English section.

English section consist of 20 questions and 4 marks per question. So total weightage of english is 80 marks out of 1000 marks.

I personally suggest you don't for English. If you are good/avg. in English just practice it with some test series not book. and if you are weak just leave the english section.

You can do 10-12 maths questions in that time.

10 maths questions = 10*4*3= 120 marks

20 English questions = 20*4*1= 80 marks

now choice is yours. Just prepare for 100 questions(50 maths + 40 reasoning + 10 computers)in 120 minutes.

Swami, under English section, you are tested on topics like Word Power, Comprehension, Vocabulary, your Basic English Grammar, Meaning of words and phrases, Synonyms and Antonyms and Technicla Writing. You can try these 2 books.

1.Word Power Made Easy (by Norman Lewis)
This is the go-to book to improve your vocabulary. It is not a book to be read but a book to work with daily to enrich your vocabulary.

2.High School Grammar and Composition( by Wren and Martin)
It is a very good book for people who want to improve their grammar skills. It helps to understand and conceptualise different aspects of grammar and it is a must have book for anyone with poor grasp on verbal ability or who wants to make up with the basics of english.
