Years of passing/Appearing in exam refers to the year in which we are going to appear/pass that class.In your case,your year of passing/appearing will be 2020 because you haven't completed you class 12th yet,and you're going to appear for it.

If you are studying 12th now, you probably will have your exams in 2020. And so your year of passing will be 2020 and your qualifying code will be 01. Code 01 says:

A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination, i.e., 12th Standard in 2020, whose result is awaited, may apply and appear in the test but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the Undergraduate Medical Courses, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage at the time of first round of Counselling.
