Hello!

The answer is One.

Reason/Explanation-  here, expanding the given equation,

cos2x=2cos^2x-1

we get,

6cos^2x-4cos^2x+2-3=0

2cos^2x-1=0

cos^2x=1/2

cosx=1/(2)^(1/2)

x=45 degrees.

here,

tan^2x=(tan 45)^2=1

Therefore, Answer=1.

These kind of equations must be solved by simplifying it. Hope this helps!
