He will get compartment on only one subject,if u fail in 2 subjects then u will be able to sit in the comaprtmental exam of only one subject n the other will be your 6th subject

Hello aspirant,
He/she can give compartment in 2 subjects out of 6 only after that he will be declared overall fail .
Then that student will be eligible to clear next year again.
