Vivek, 75% criteria is if you want to appear for JEE Advanced which is the entrance examination for admission to IITs. This also applies to NITs. For those Colleges like State Government Run Engineering Colleges and Private Engineering Colleges which do not have 75% or 65% eligibility criteria, you can apply for such Colleges on the basis of JEE Mains score.

The 75% criteria applies to NITs, CFTIs and IIITs.
