If you marked "12th appearing" by mistake in the JEE Mains form but you already passed 12th and have valid proof like marksheets and certificates, you generally will not face a big issue during college admission.
At the time of admission, colleges mainly check your original documents. If you submit your correct 12th pass certificate and marksheet, they accept it. However, you might be asked to give a written explanation or an affidavit stating that it was a genuine mistake.
It is a good idea to inform the admitting college in advance during counselling or document verification to avoid last-minute confusion.
