You might or might not be able to appear for MCA degree this year. It all depends upon your supplementary/improvement examination. While most colleges give you ample time to submit your passed marksheets and your degree from a recognised University of the country, other universities might now.
How ever, incase you have to take a drop year to pass the BA paper, you can always join some online courses to build up your skills.
