So, according to eligibility criteria of course for appearing in UGC-NET, the subject must be the same or related to the subject in which you have completed your Post Graduation . Some times, a student might not find the same subject for UGC-NET in which he/she has completed Master's, so they can go for some related subject of relevance.

Being in open or unreserved category, you must have an aggregate score of 55 per cent in Master's.
