As mentioned by you that you have failed in the additional subject but since I don't know which exam you are talking about so here is an answer for your doubts but it isn't very much specific

As the result states you are passed but have failed in one subject then you will have to give compartment in that specific subject i.e. maths.

If the exam is of CBSE, then for 2020 batch students there are 3 chances to appear for compartment which is counted from the year you appeared in the exams so, you may appear next year. But, it is highly recommended to not miss any chance and clear the compartment as early as possible
