The 2 Lakhs rupees taken during counselling is the security deposit you make . If you do not get a seat then the money will be refunded back to the same account from which it was paid .

If you get the seat and study in that college , your security deposit will be adjusted against your tuition fees .

In case you decide to leave the seat you get through counselling ,the security deposit will be forfeited .

So its better that you give the names of colleges in the preference list after you decide to join whichever you get .
