If you get good score in jee mains then the board result doesn't make so much difference,if your score is good enough above 150 then you have chances to get nits,iiits or state engineering colleges . But  students who applying in jee advance those have to secure minimum 75% in your 10+2 board examination,for sc/st students this criteria is 65%. If you're score is good enough  then you have chances to get addmission in iits after qualifing advance .

You can get any college depending upon only your jee mains rank but for this you have to secure minimum 75% marks in 12 th ( general) and it is 65%for SC/ST.
Or you are in top 20 percentile.
It doesn't matter that how much percentage you get in 12 weather you got 90%or 80 % ; your admission will be based on the jee mains rank.
12 th percentage is just a criteria to be eligible for admission.
So try to secure a good rank and depending upon your rank ; you will get admission in good college ( NIT ; IIIT etc).
