As you are considering to seek admission is better choice of Institute the higher preferences will be considered for seat allotment. In your case the choices from 1-8 will be considered. It is quite difficult to predict if you can get seat in second extended round because the seat allotment depends on rank of the candidate, merit of the candidate and vacancies available in the preferred institutes/branches.
