If you get an IIT, you won't face any problems when it comes to placement unless you mess up very bad. That is fail in multiple semester/subjects. IITs are prestigious on their own, and they have almost hundred percent placement. Don't worry about that, do your best, and if you feel like it, go for the improvement exam, and score well! All the best!
