Sorry to say you but actually you have not mentioned clearly what do you mean by internal and external. However if you are talking about your internal examination of semester dates of search specific University then if your marks is 8 out of 40 marks , you should recover your marks in your final semester examinations. About each and every university's on an average passing marks is 40 out of 100. in that case you need to score at least 60 to 70marks.however the total thing differs from college to college and Universities to University.hope this will help you
