HI SHERWIN!

SINCE YOU HAVE NOT MENTIONED ABOUT WHICH EXAM OR COURSE, THE GIVEN TABLE IS A GENERAL IN MOST EXAMS IN INDIA

THERE ARE 3 OPTIONS WHEN YOU ARE GIVEN A SEAT, YOU CAN CHOOSE ANY   ONE OF THEM

Floating: This option is for those candidates who wish to accept the offered seat but also looking for graduation if admissions are open in a better/higher preferred college or course.

Freezing: If a candidate exercises this option, it will indicate that the candidate has accepted the allotted seats and does not wish to participate in further rounds.

Sliding: If this option is used, it will mean that candidates have accepted the allotted seat, however, if admissions are open in a better course in the same institute then he/she will go for up-gradation.

I HOPE IT HELPED
