Hello there. Yes that is what happens. Once you are done with B-TECH, you are done with the college as well and in IIIT Hyderabad, their are some decent placement records so you can easily get placement.

but it is possible for lateral entry students who were complete their b.tech two year in another institute

Yes it's same for all the students whether they are from starting or joined later by lateral entry. Everyone can sit in the placement and get the jobs.
