Hey there first of all you should know the clear meaning of the option i.e

1. Freeze-The candidate choose this option who want to take the allotment college and don't want to continue in the counselling.

2. Slide- The candidate choose this option who want to upgraded his/her branch in same college which allotted to them. Candidate will be considered for next round if candidate gets previous allotted course be cancelled.

3. Float- The candidate choose this option if they don't want the allotment college and want to  apply for the other colleges. Candidate will be considered for that round he/she preferring for. If the same candidate is allotted for the higher course his/her previous allotted will be cancelled.

So dear it will not automatically freeze. Their will be option from the above mention option and you have to choose accordingly. And for holding the college in one round and to continue in other round you have to come in Maharashtra in respective institutions and at their you have to cancel or hold the college.
