Hello student if you're graduate then you're eligible otherwise no you're not eligible you need to first clear all your backlogs as eligibility criteria says
Eligibility. The following students are eligible to take GATE: Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering / Technology / Architecture (4 years after 10+2/ Post-B.Sc./ Post-Diploma) and those who are in the final year of such programs.

I have completed my b.sc physics and back is in the 1st sem ( in one subject) of m.sc and now my final result of m.sc has been declared and that back I will clear in the December 2019 exam.
