Hii Likhoth

The elibility criteria for getting admission in IITs is minimum 75% aggregate marks in 12th board.or top 20 percentile.

In many state Level 12 board exam, the percentage doesn't reach so high and getting 75% is very difficult.

so maybe you come under top 20 percentile

so if you come under Top 20 percentile and your board issued that certificate to you then you will be eligible gor getting admission in IITs.

hope you understand

thank you

Hello Raj,

Actually, you have to score 75% or in top 20 percentile in the 12th board examination after that only you can get an NIT college or give the JEE Advanced examination to get IITs.

Hello,

If you have scored less than 75% in your 12th board examination and you belong to general or obc category, then i am sorry to inform you that there's no way you could get admission into IIT's or any of the NIT's.The criteria is either 75% or within top 20 percentile of your respective board, whichever is lowest is applicable and Yes if you could not meet the above requirement you won't be able to get admission into any of the NIT's, IIT's or IIIT'S. Since you have already dropped a year I wouldn't recommend you to appear for your improvement exam for 12th. Don't get disheartened there's a lot good colleges which doesn't require 75% in 12th. You can get colleges through state level engineering entrance examination. Just Hope for the best.

Best of luck.
