For Marine Engineering:

Stream Required:

• You must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Maths (PCM) in 12th.

• Entrance Exams:Appear for exams like IMU-CET (Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test) or JEE Main (some colleges accept it).

Course:

• Do B.Tech in Marine Engineering (4 years).

Fitness Requirement:

• You must be medically fit, especially your eyesight and physical strength.

Top Institutes:

• Indian Maritime University, Tolani Maritime Institute, MERI Kolkata, etc.

To Become a Commercial Pilot:

Stream Required:

• PCM in 12th (for flying license); if not PCM, you can still go for ground staff or cabin crew.

Steps:

• Join a flying school after 12th.

• Get a Student Pilot License (SPL) → Private Pilot License (PPL) → Commercial Pilot License (CPL).

Medical Test:

• You must clear DGCA Class 1 medical test.

Flying Hours:

• Need minimum 200 flying hours for CPL.

Flying Schools:

• Indira Gandhi Institute of Aviation, CAE, Indigo Cadet Program, etc.

B. For Other Aviation Careers:

• Air Hostess / cabin crew No PCM needed, just good communication and grooming.

• Aviation Management / ground staff  do a diploma or degree in aviation or airport management.
