BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic medicine and surgery) is a 4 year long course with 1 year of compulsory internship. BAMS graduates can work as Ayurvedic doctors both in India and abroad. It is a great career option as people these days are becoming more aware about Ayurveda and its benefits. Foreigners are already much fascinated by India's ancient medical practices as in Ayurveda, yoga etc. You can also get placed as Ayurvedic lecturers or as medical officers . Gulf countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Yemen, Iran, Iraq offer Ayurvedic physician jobs to BAMS graduates with a decent salary ranging from INR 25,00,000-30,00,000.
You can also work as an Ayurvedic pharmacist or an Ayurvedic consultant .
