Dear Vishwa, if you are talking about Clerical posts in Nationalised banks, the eligibility criteria is that you should have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline. For SBI Clerical post, a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised University is accepted. And the truth is irrespective of the discipline in your Bachelor's, you dont get paid right away high salary. You join as a fresher or a junior and you get paid according to the rules and your grade of job. This is the same for Private Banks and Government Banks. You get hike in salary as you grow in your experience. While releasing the notification the authorities give you a fair idea of the pay scale in the notification.
