Yes you will have to apply for ews certificate even if you have bpl card and your family income is less than 2.5 lakh. A ews certificates can be issued by tehsildar/sdm . Ews certificates give you reservation of 10% seats in any college, jobs offered by state or central government.

You can contact to advocates nearby you they will charge around 300 rs to make an ews certificate .

Eligibility-

Candidate's annual family income must be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum. His family must not own more than 5 acres of agriculture land. The residential flat area should be below 1000 sq ft.

If you satisfy eligibility criteria then you can apply for a ews certificate.
