I'm a engineering student when can I apply for ias exam????

Hi Monika,

Yes, of course. You are eligible and can apply for that. However, you can only apply for the UPSC Civil Services exam when you will be in your final year or would have been completed your engineering degree.

According to the eligibility criteria for UPSC Civil Services Exam (for IAS), you have to either complete graduation or equivalent degree or you should be in your final year or graduation in any of the field.

So, yes, you can apply for this and you will be shocked to hear that most of the UPSC Exam toppers were ENGINEERS only. This is because Engineering is a professional degree in which you come to recognize about your sitting power and other study techniques.
