I'm a mechanical engineer 2017 passed out.I prepared for gate 2018 but I didn't write well.So I'm thinking of joining full-time coaching

Hi

No, not at all. A gap of one to two year is easily justifiable. But just to be sure, you should prepare really well for GATE this time. 

Do not take a decision thinking that t would fail. If that's what you really want to pursue, you should go for it. Just to be safe you can make a list of a few safe options which you will definitely get in after GATE. This will help with the anxiety of taking another year drop.
