If you want to do robotics, then you try for the course AI(Artificial Intelligence), or you can opt for the mechanical engineering in the b.tech where you have core subjects about it and later you can do specialization in robotics.
And I reccomend you that dont go by the placements record because it changes every year. So if you are interested in it you will be definitely get succeeded in it.
