Hi dear hope you are doing well.
Marks does not decide the cutoff. Its percentile which matters a lot. General category student to qualify for JEE advanced examination you must have secured at least 89 percentile in your JEE mains examination as in 2019 the cutoff for general category student was 89 percentile.
