No there wont be any  issue if you take Bio as your optional subject instead of maths in KVPY. MOreover clearing KVPY and availing the scholarship is only possible if you are pursuing basic sciences like B.Sc, Msc or integrated M.Sc. You anyways wont be able to avail thsi scholarship is you choose techncial field like BTech, MBBS or any other course like BBA, BA etc. So it wont cause any issue.
