Hi,

MS and Mtech/ME are pretty much different in their study layout. For simplicity ill put it out separately

M.S.

When your doing M.S. you dont have to study like in read textbooks as per a syllabus or anything. M.S. is actully a research based course. You will have to research on a given topic. You will have to work your ideas and be extremely creative with stronghold knowledge in the fundamental concepts. Morover you dont have assignments or examinations or something but it takes time and expertise i.e. it may take more than 2years

M.TECH

Mtech is more like the textbook kind of course. You have prescribed syllabus and textbooks listed as per the syllabus by most universities
