Yes, students who are in studying in 4th year are eligible to give their gate exam. I think you will be in 4 th year ,when you are applying for gate 2020.

yeah, b.arch is 5 year course .SO is there any possibility to write the exam 1 year before that means in 4th year 2020 as you told.

Only final year student are eligible, then you can give gate in your 5th year.
