Dear student,

Your previous seat will be reserved if you will not able to get any of the seat in the next round if you have chosen the float option. If you get seat in the next round then you can't take the previous seat.

Your seat will never be cancel, it happens only if you choose the withdraw option. You can either freeze or to float in the counselling to get a fixed seat in the counselling.
