A mismatch in your father’s name between academic records (Jitendra Kumar) and the income certificate (Jitendra Singh) can create problems during scholarship verification. Authorities rely on the income certificate to confirm financial eligibility, and if the name does not match your documents exactly, the application may be rejected as belonging to another person.

Fortunately, this can be fixed if handled early. The most common solution is to prepare a notarised “same-person” affidavit on stamp paper stating both names refer to your father. If time allows, you should also apply for a corrected income certificate through the Tehsil or e-District portal using valid proof like Aadhaar or marksheets. Attach a short explanation letter and copies of supporting IDs (Aadhaar, PAN, voter ID) showing the correct name.
