The selection committee for under 19 and under 23 category is the same but coming to ranji trophy the selection committee has slight change with it.

A player is eligible for Ranji trophy only if he plays both the under 19 and under 23 category only.

Player can also get eligible for Ranji trophy by playing the under 25 state league.
