In iron ore sample Fe2O3 present 12% of admixture is already present. find the mass of Fe2O3 in iron ore sample ?

hello,

You can solve the numerical like this:


- Molecular weight of Fe2O3 = (56×2) + (16×3) = 160g


- Molar mass of Fe in 1 mole of Fe2O3 = 56×2=112g

Therefore %age composition of Fe in Fe2O3=   molarmass of Fe ÷ Molecular weight of Fe2O3 ×100 =160112 × 100 = 70%
