70 marks in jee is low marks even for SC category. But yeah I hope you  might get low ranked NITs in last rounds of counselling or may be you will have to manage with your  choice of branch.
But yeah life doesn't run on myths it goes on facts.its a social perception that getting admission in IIT and NIT ensure our success.But it is not fact. You must think whether you  match standard of these institutions. There is no point taking admission in a prestigious institution and leaving college in between because of lot of reappear and academic pressure. Be sure you  will face a lot of problems in campus which may lead to depression and mental pressure.. rest all depends on you.

Hi, though this year cutoffs will be announced in the form of percentile but seeing your score you may be able to qualify for JEE advanced as as you belong to ST category. But your chances to get a good NIT are not very high as for getting good NITs you need to score well regardless of your category. You mat get into lower NITs like Sikkim or Srinagar as their previous year cutoffs lie in the range of 75 to 100 for ST category.
